What is Landings
Landings is a reconciliation ministry welcoming returning Catholics back to the Church. It was developed by the Paulist Fathers and is a 10-week programme that invites Catholics who have been away from the Church or who struggle in their relationship with God and the Church and want to return. Landings achieves this in a welcoming and non-judgmental way, through small groups and shared faith stories and exploration of Catholic themes.

The Landings community of lay Catholics welcomes and walks together to mutually grow in this “always-returning” journey to live out an authentic relationship with God.

What’s involved
Landings is a 10-week programme of 2 hour weekly sessions and a retreat to wrap up the programme. (Because of Covid, the next programme will consist of 8 weekly sessions and a retreat.)

After the programme, participants are encouraged to continue in their faith journey and discern the communities or ministries to serve in. The Landings community also has community sessions outside of the programme run, which in St Ignatius are held on Thursdays.

The Landings programme in St Ignatius will be held once or twice a year. To find out when the upcoming programme will start, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Events (an evening of testimonies by Catholics who have returned) are held at various times throughout the year and are announced in parish bulletins and Catholic News.
