Visiting the Columbarium

Our Columbarium is open for visits on Saturdays at 5.00 - 5.45 pm; and Sundays at 9.00 am - 9.45 am, 11.00 am - 11.45 am, 1.00 - 1.45 pm and 5.00 - 5.45 pm.

Current COVID-19 safety measures are in place, and numbers in each session are limited to 30. 
Visitors must have a booking or they won't be let in if the limit is reached.

A retreat of light and tranquility, situated in the basement of the building, this place of repose is further enhanced by a soft green landscaped garden. The air-conditioned columbarium will offer Family Niches, Community Niches and Memorial Plaques. The elegant marble-faced niches will be arrayed in rows within separate enclaves, each bearing the name of a Jesuit martyr. Throughout the columbarium, water fountains and a beautiful statue of Our Lady provide a sense of the joy of resurrection, with crafted seating serving as places of restful prayerfulness for family, friends and faithful in the presence of their departed loved ones.

Operating Hours and Other Information (Not applicable during Covid-19 period.)

Visiting Hours (Columbarium) 
Open daily from 6.30 am to 8.00 pm (including weekends & Public Holidays)
Memorial Mass/Prayers at the Main Church every 4th Friday, 6.00 pm for all deceased parishioners and families. 

Type of Niches & Memorial Plaques
Family Niches (two urns per niche) for family.
Community Niches (8 urns per niche) for unrelated people and
Memorial Plaques (two types) are available for Catholics and their immediate families.

Documents Required for Booking of Niche*

  • Application Form (duly completed)
  • Copy of Baptism Certificate
  • Cheque Payment (Payee "Church of St Ignatius")
  • Copy of NRIC
  • Copy of Death certificate when applicable

*Incomplete documents will not be entertained

Being a Catholic Columbarium, only religious prayers and services of the Catholic Church are permitted in the Columbarium. Prayers conducted by any other religion or non-Catholic Church services are strictly not allowed.
No food, drink, fresh flowers, outside candles, joss sticks, paper or other burnt offerings are permitted in the Columbarium.
